Heating Repair FAQ

How much does heating repair cost in San Antonio?+

Most heating repairs in San Antonio run $149–$795 depending on the part. Flame sensor cleaning is $149–$249, ignitors $249–$385, gas valves $489–$789, control boards $385–$795. The service call itself is FREE — you only pay if you approve the written price we quote.

Do you repair heat pumps as well as furnaces?+

Yes. A lot of San Antonio homes heat with a heat pump instead of a gas furnace. We repair both — reversing valves, defrost boards, ignitors, flame sensors, gas valves, blower motors, and control boards — on every brand.

Why does my heater smell like burning when it first turns on?+

In South Texas, heaters sit unused for eight or nine months. Dust settles on the heat exchanger and heating elements, and the first few cycles of the season burn it off — that smell is normal for the first hour or two. If the smell persists, if you see smoke, or if a CO alarm goes off, turn the system off and call us.

How fast can you get out for a no-heat call?+

Same-day across the greater San Antonio area — usually within 2 hours during business hours, and we run late through cold snaps until everyone has heat. Your call rings Clint's phone directly. No call center, no dispatch fee.

Should I repair or replace my heater?+

We are a repair-first company. If a repair gets you safely through more winters at a sensible price, that is what we recommend. Replacement only comes up when the heat exchanger is cracked, the system is 15+ years old with a major failure, or repairs are adding up to more than the system is worth.
