Another San Antonio HVAC company told you it'll be $4,000 for a repair? Or $15,000 for a new system? Before you sign, send the quote to Clint. Most of our second-opinion customers save $400 to $6,000 — and a few find out the original quote was actually fair.
$59 in-home diagnostic — waived with repair · No commissions, no upsells, no pressure

Why Price-Shoppers Call Us
We don't pay commissions and we don't run a call center. Every job is the family's name on the truck — so the math is simple: we make money by being the honest, less expensive option.
No commissioned salespeople
The other guys pay techs a % of the ticket. That's why repairs balloon. We don't. You get a real diagnosis at a real price.
Family-owned since 1996
Clint and his three sons run every job. No subs. Our name's on every truck, so we can't afford to burn a customer.
Written quotes with line items
Part, labor, price, photo. If you can't see what you're paying for, you're being sold to.
Red Flags in HVAC Quotes
If any of these are on the quote you're holding, send it to us before you sign.
Quote over $1,000 with no parts breakdown
A real repair quote lists the part, the labor, and the price. "Whole-system rebuild" with no line items is a sales pitch.
"You need a whole new system" on a unit under 10 years old
Most repairs under $1,500 on a system under 10 years old are worth doing. We'll tell you when replacement actually makes sense — and when it doesn't.
Pressure to sign today for a "discount"
Real shops let you take 24–48 hours. High-pressure same-day signing is a tell that the price has plenty of margin baked in.
Vague diagnosis: "the compressor is going"
Compressors either work or they don't. "Going" means they couldn't pinpoint the issue — or they're upselling a $4,000 replacement when a $300 capacitor would fix it.
How a Second Opinion Works
Send us the quote
Text a photo of the other company's invoice or diagnosis to (210) 600-5091. Even a verbal recap works — we'll know what to look at.
We come out for $59 (waived with repair)
Same diagnostic the first company did, done by Clint or one of the sons. We test the actual part they flagged — not just take their word for it.
You get a written second opinion
Real part, real price, real photos. If their quote was fair, we'll tell you. If it wasn't, you'll save hundreds — often thousands.

Second-Opinion FAQ
How much does a second opinion cost?+
Our diagnostic is a flat $59, and it's waived completely if you approve the repair with us. There's no charge to send us the other company's quote and ask a question over text.
What if the other company was right?+
We'll tell you. Honest answers go both ways — if their quote was fair, we'll say so. You're out $59 and you know your system is being handled correctly.
How much can a second opinion actually save?+
Most price-shoppers who call us save $400–$2,500 on repairs and $2,000–$6,000 on replacements. The biggest wins come from catching unnecessary "full system replacement" quotes when a $200–$500 part would fix the issue.
Do you do second opinions on new system quotes too?+
Yes — that's where the biggest savings usually happen. A new Goodman system starts at $5,999 installed here; a Day & Night (Carrier) at $6,549. If you've been quoted $12,000–$18,000, we should talk.
Will the other company know I called you?+
No. There's no industry registry, no notification. Your second opinion is private — between you and us.
How fast can you get here for a second opinion?+
Usually same-day or next-day across San Antonio, Stone Oak, Boerne, Schertz, Cibolo, Helotes, Alamo Heights, and the rest of the 1604/410 loop.
